Fisher & Paykel Global Headquarters

29000 sqm

Come Home To Work

We are in the process of a designing a new global Headquarters building for Fisher & Paykel Appliances (FPA) Visitors to this building will experience F&PA’s commitment to innovation. They will see it in the interior and exterior, the architecture, and in the showcasing of both F&PA’s products and processes of design and testing. This will be an inclusive environment for their people to work in. It will provide an environment that will facilitate collaboration for their people whom they recognize are from diverse backgrounds and have diverse skills and experience.

Their new home will provide a socially resilient environment for their people to work within while also being a development that minimises its embodied and operational carbon footprint. This environment extends to the rejuvenation of the land it sits on such that the outside realm offers further protection of the environment within and beyond the site. This project will adopt similar principals to the Scion Innovation Hub in timber technology and sustainability.

The masterplan development will comprise of the Home Building for administration, research, design and product development, the Shed Building for appliance prototype laboratories, workshops, and testing, and the Garage Building for staff vehicle parking and end of trip facilities. In addition to these three buildings, a landscaping strategy has been developed to provide workers with a range of outdoor spaces for work and leisure with strong ecological initiatives.

Fisher & Paykel is one of the bedrocks of New Zealand innovation, being engaged in how people want to live for more than 80 years. The company prides itself on an ethos that puts people at the forefront, providing the inspiration that makes for a well-grounded design approach which produces highly innovative outcomes.
